Flughafen Frankfurt am Main
(Airport)

Despite being one of Europe's busiest airports in the 1950's and 60's, this is how the one-and-only terminal building looked until sometime in the 70's, when major expansion finally began. The airport appears briefly in G.I. Blues, as another 3rd Armored soldier (not Elvis) drops off his Italian potential girlfriend for a flight home to Milano (but that's another story). Note the black Mercedes taxi-cab at center, as the Mercedes was the car of choice for most cab operations in Germany in the 1950's and 60's (and still today, we wonder?).
