Pvt. Royce Meacham of Ohio was
killed on Christmas Day during the Battle of the Bulge. Bill
Heinz, of 83rd Recon Bn & 3AD Association President for 2005-2006,
took this photo (the original full frame) in September, 2004,
while on an Association tour of Europe. Before leaving the States,
Bill had been contacted "out of the blue," he reports,
by the granddaughter of Pvt. Meacham to try to locate and photograph
his grave site. The result was a very special picture. |
