Major General Maurice Rose - Birthplace and Plaque
508 Main Street, Middletown, Connecticut
|
| |
ABOVE: The top two photos, taken in 2002, show
the left half of the brick building where the Rose family lived
more than 100 years ago. The doorway entrance at the far left
is 508 Main St., which leads up to a surprisingly spacious, 2-bedroom
apartment on the second floor where Gen. Rose was born in 1899.
The apartment's living room windows are those at the front of
the building. The above 12x19-inch bronze plaque was unveiled
at the Dedication on Sept. 29, 2002, and is mounted to the left
of the #508 doorway. |
