tank platoon sergeant Aurio Pierro of Lexington, MA, addressed
the crowd. Earlier in the program, he had received a Proclamation
by the City of Middletown in honor of Gen. Rose presented by
Mayor Domenique Thornton. That had been followed by Pierro's
accepting an American flag that had flown over the U.S. Capitol
in Washington from Senate aide Lois Santiago, representing U.S.
Senator Chris Dodd of Connecticut. Santiago also read a letter
of tribute about Rose from Dodd. |
