3rd Armored WWII vet is "arrested".

Photo below: Middletown Police Officers Augie LaFrance (left) and Ron Cammeyer (right) question Russ Eick about his operating a gun turret on Main St. without a permit. Russ claimed that the four .50 caliber machine guns were unloaded and that no rounds were fired. The officers, however, weren't so sure and continued to interview witnesses.

Photo above: In addition to the M-16 half-track and LaSalle Army sedan, another WWII vehicle at the Dedication caused a lot of double-takes from spectators and passers-by. This was an authentic 1941 Dodge weapons carrier with a water-cooled .30 cal. machine gun. It's driver and owner, Charles Warkowski of Prospect, CT, is an avid member of the Connecticut Military Vehicle Collectors Club (COMVEC).
