A Salute to Gen. Rose

Tobits served with the 816th Engineer Aviation Bn. of the U.S.
Army Airforce during 1940-45, building air fields in France &
Germany in 1944-45 as fast as U.S. troops could secure the land.
But on some occasions, Tobits reports, his unit was still under
fire from pockets of German gunners. |
