Rose is pictured at age 41 in
a 1941 yearbook of the 1st Armored Division, Ft. Knox, as S-3
officer of 1st Brigade headquarters staff. Early in 1942 Rose
would be transferred to the 2AD at Ft. Benning, GA, where he
was soon a full colonel and division Chief of Staff. By December,
1942, he and the 2AD would be in North Africa. |
