In March, 1985, a gathering took place at Rose
Point that included a small contingent of NATO officers, German
& American WWII veterans, and at least one local historian.
Several soldiers from the 3rd Armored Division were present.
A British officer appears to be officiating (that area of Germany,
including Paderborn, was in the British Sector during the Cold
War). Unfortunately, apart from the photos themselves and brief
caption material, nothing more is presently known of the event. |
