4-shot sequence in March, 2004, moving
westbound on Dorenhagener Strasse and after Rose's jeep had turned
right at the intersection with Querweg (between "E"
& "D" on the map included on Index). This is not
taking in account the dim evening light on March 30, 1945. The
black arrow indicates the approximate position of the King Tiger
tank that would block the jeep. It was dusk; it was a curved
incline, and the trees in 1945 were more mature and closer to
the road. Rose was shot while standing in the southern half of
the road, or the oncoming lane as shown here. |
