503rd Admin Co. soldiers are shown counting stacks of U.S.
money as part of their work in the Cash Control Section of the
Div. Finance Office at Drake Kaserne. The counting was being
done for payroll purposes, including providing PIO staffers with
adequate bucks to spend. According to notations on the back of
this photo, a total of $432,000 was on the three tables in the
immediate area. It was common on pay days to see over $2 million
stacked in the office.
The men above, under Capt. John Harvey's command, were (from
left): Nevell, Cooper, Richardson, and (standing) Sp4 Mike Reed.
