Drake Kaserne - Frankfurt/M, Germany

Located on the northern outskirts of Frankfurt,
Drake was the headquarters of the 3rd Armored Division from 1956
to 1992. It was formerly a garrison for the German Army before
and during World War II. By 1992, very little had outwardly changed
from this 1953 aerial photo. Edwards Kaserne can be seen at upper
right, beyond the tree-lined street Homburger Landstrasse. |
